Become a Trainer

Better Brains for Babies is looking for qualified trainers to help us share the research on brain development with various audiences across Georgia. Our trainers are professionals with experience providing training and education who have opportunities to share the Better Brains for Babies message with groups in Georgia. All trainers are required to complete a two-day Better Brains for Babies train-the-trainer workshop. During that workshop, they participate in in-depth training on brain development and its applications, prepare and share a short presentation, and receive a Flash presentation and print Trainer’s Guide to use in preparing their training.

Applications from potential trainers are accepted beginning about 6 weeks in advance of each train-the-trainer workshop. A committee screens applications to ensure that applicants are qualified, and selects trainers to attend the workshops. Qualifications for becoming a BBB trainer include

• A bachelor’s degree or higher
• Documented experience in providing training
• The ability to provide training to a broad group of participants beyond simply your coworkers (either within the scope of your employment or as an independent trainer)
• Agree to provide at least one training per year, and to report all trainings in the online reporting system
