Young children depend on adults to help them name and manage their feelings. They imitate adult behaviors, so it’s important to model appropriate communication and self-regulation. Teach them the names for feelings, and give them safe and appropriate ways to express how they are feeling.

Factors that Influence Breastfeeding. According to researchers, about 34% of mothers said that stay-at-home orders from their doctor made breastfeeding easier, helped them build a strong bond with their baby, and gave them the determination to breastfeed longer. These same mothers described barriers to breastfeeding during the pandemic, including less access to lactation support and more stress.
